The Nitpickers Guide for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers : Season Three

The format for each entry is: place the error occurred, time in episode the error occurred : what the actual error is. A couple of nitpicks are in a different format to this, but everything should be understandable. The terms beginning, middle, end refers to the placing in the episode, roughly equating to: before the monster arrives, while the monster is around, and after the monster is destroyed respectively.

Ninja Quest Part 1

2nd and 3rd beach volley ball scene, beginning : The shadows keep changing length and direction. One example : in the sand, the shadows go to the right (facing the water), but on the grass, the shadows go to the left (facing the water).
Moon, when Rito comes out of the crater : As he stretches his neck, there's a slight flash of the white fabric that is joined to the headpiece of the costume.
Outdoor cafe, when the two girls are discussing 'Men in uniform' : In the shots of Bulk and Skull, the two girls can be seen sitting directly behind them there is space between the two girls. In the close ups of the girls though, they have become very close together.
Outdoor cafe, when Skull knocks the drink over Bulk : A lot of the pink mixture fell on the table and the red glass. Skull put the dirty glass back on the table, but shots from behind Bulk's shoulder had both the table and glass completely clean.
Outdoor cafe, when Bulk says "Skull and I are going..." : Bulk's shirt is considerably drier than it was 2 seconds earlier.
Park, middle : When the rangers first pull out their morphers, they're in a straight line, but as they hold the morpher straight out (the last shot), they are in a triangle formation.
Angel Grove, as rangers watch the Zords explode : There are shots of Billy and Adam using their arms to shield themselves from the explosion, but at that time they were supposedly using both hands to hold Kim back, like they were doing in the final shot.

Ninja Quest Part 2

Police academy, early : The shadows went from very long in the street outside the academy to much being shorter when inside the compound.
Desert, as the rangers go into the hidden cave : Tommy isn't actually seen going into the entrance with the others

Ninja Quest Part 3

Police academy, as Bulk and Skull fill in the papers: When Lt. Stone startles the two, they knock the paper piles flat. But, in the following shots of Bulk and Skull's backs, the piles are back up again.
Desert, ninja-tenga fight : Just before the rangers arrive, the Tengas have very short shadows, but during the fight, the shadows are very long, once again defying the laws of nature.

Ninja Quest Part 4

Zord fight, in red background land : Ninjor has his sword in his hand when he's on the ground, but it's sheathed by the time he's on his feet.
Command Center, end : When Aisha says "You can never have too many friends like that" she's standing behind Billy with only Alpha behind her, but almost immediately before, she was next to Billy and Rocky was standing behind her.

A Brush With Destiny

Command Center, when the rangers are first looking at the viewing globe : Adam goes down the step and is in the front with Billy, Tommy and Aisha in a line behind him. However, when the rangers turn back to face Zordon, Aisha is coming from the front and Adam is standing next to Rocky.
Park, after Kimberly finds her communicator : She teleports with the communicator straps dangling, but she arrives at the Command Center with the communicator securely fastened.
Youth Center, end : When the Harts and Campbells are talking, Steve (or whatever the painter was called) has his arm around Mrs Hart, but his hand position keeps changing depending on the shot, with his hand sometimes on her shoulder, sometimes on her arm and sometimes on her back.

Passing The Lantern

No Errors found.

Wizard For A Day

Youth Center, beginning : The books Rocky dropped on the floor as he enters were back on the stack when he put the pile on the table.
Park, monster battle : Rocky says "We need to cover our faces," but you would've thought that's what the helmets were there for.

Fourth Down And Long

Football field, after Aisha is turned into a football : As the monster says "At half time..." the Tengas are advancing on Rocky and the balls are on the ground behind them, but a matter of seconds later, when the Centiback says "Ranger, you season is over..." the Tengas have the balls in their hands.
Mountains, before the monster kicks the ball at Ninjor : As the ball was put on the ground, it tilted to the side, but just as it was kicked, it's face was upright.

Final Face Off

Outside, when the yellow ranger is having her face stolen : As the yellow ranger falls, cords and the pyrotechnic power pack can be seen near the stunt double's hip.

Stop The Hate Master Part 1

Stop The Hate Master Part2

Command Center, when Aisha decides to use Alpha as a power source : As Aisha says "Oh yes we do," her is hair is behind her shoulders, and as she turns one strand of hair moves. When the shot changes though, two strands of hair are in front of her right shoulder.
Youth Center, when Bulk and Skull are leaving to clean the wall : The rangers are seen laughing and Kimberly is leaning on the table, but when the rangers are seen from behind, at supposedly the same moment, Kim is sitting back in her chair.
Youth Center, end : When there is the close up of the rangers piling their hands together, Rocky's hand isn't seen going into the pile, but he is part of it in the final scene.

Potion Notion

When the rangers were in the park, they made it sound like school was over for the day, but they were all back there later.

A Ranger Catastrophe Part 1

Aisha was wearing a different shade of lipstick in the park to the one in the animal shelter.
Animal Shelter, during Tenga fight : The shadows are almost always changing length during fight scenes, but there were a couple of really bad changes in this one.
Angel Grove, when Tommy is driving Kat's car : The shadow lengths were short when Tommy started the car, but long when he was seen taking a corner.
Moon Palace, just before Zedd and Rita make Rito grow : There are two marks on the base of the screen, towards the middle. The marks look like water stains and are only visible when the camera is on Zedd and Rita.

A Ranger Catastrophe Part 2

Changing of the Zords Part 1

Beach pier, first shot of Bulk and Skull : When the lake is seen from between Bulk and Skull's feet, there is only one peddle boat on the water in front of them, but when the shot is from behind Bulk and Skull's shoulders, there are suddenly two peddle boats.
Beach pier, when Bulk and Skull are running towards the water : The people on the pier keep changing, depending on whether the camera is on the water or on Bulk and Skull.
Beach, after Tenga fight : Adam wasn't wearing a shirt or a bandanna when he was seen diving into the water, but those items of clothing were on him when the ninjas powered down after the fight.

Changing of the Zords Part 2

Command Center, after Kimberly wakes up : The straps on her overalls keeps changing position.

Changing of the Zords Part 3

Park, when Shogun Zords arrive : Rocky says earthquakes don't happen in Angel Grove, but since it is in Southern California, that is pretty unlikely, plus earthquakes were refereed to in both season one and two.

Follow That Cab!

Road, beginning : The car thief managed to hotwire Kimberly's car in an incredibly short period of time.
Australia, beginning : Some of the kids in Kat's flashback were also at the Christmas celebrations in Angel Grove ("I'm Dreaming of a White Ranger")
Command Center, middle : There was no reason for the rangers to be morphed when they were first seen at the Command Center (besides the fact that the ranger costumes went better with the Shark Cycles than the civilian clothes would have).
Car Park, middle : Just before the rangers called the Zords, they were standing in front of the Shark Cycles, but when they made the final arm movements, they were standing next to the bikes.
Moon Palace, end : Zedd blamed Rita for the idea to turn a ranger into a monster, but it was actually Rito's idea.

A Different Shade Of Pink Part 1

Park, Tenga fight : When Tommy stepped on Rito's staff, he kneels on his right knee, but the position of that knee on the ground changes.

A Different Shade Of Pink Part 2

Park, Tenga fight : Just before the Ninja Rangers powered down, they were standing in full sunlight, but when they finished powering down, they were shaded by the trees.

A Different Shade Of Pink Part 3

Rita's Pita

Park, middle : When its the initial wide shot of the rangers walking along the path, Tommy lowers his right arm to his side, but when the shot switches to the close up, his right arm is at the plate again.

Another Brick In The Wall

Building site, beginning : When the teens leave the site to go to Ernie's there was not one speck of dust on them, even though they'd been shifting plants and bricks and dust all day.
Building site, end : As the Mayor is seen walking towards the teens, Tommy is positioned directly behind Kat, but in the close up he is standing next to her. Plus, in the walk up shot, Aisha is on Billy's left, but in the close up, she is on his right, standing behind Kat (ie. the place Tommy was half a second earlier).

Chimp In Charge

Juice Bar, when Aisha, Tommy and Billy are talking : Tommy keeps switching between holding his glass in his left hand, holding it in his right hand and holding it with both hands.

Master Vile And The Metallic Armor Part 1

Technically, the Shogun Megazord shouldn't have been able to form since Tommy nor Kat were there to call the White Shogun Zord.

Master Vile And The Metallic Armor Part 2

Moon Palace, beginning : Zedd and Rita were taunting Kat with the fact Tommy was once evil, and she cried "It's not true..." but she knew that already since Tommy told her as such in the hospital ("A Different Shade of Pink Part 3")
Caves of Deception, middle : The White Ranger had a really big stain on the right hand side of his butt when he went through the entrance, but it was gone when he was seen on the other side.

Master Vile And The Metallic Armour Part 3

Vile's Ship, end : The bird cage the falcon was kept in can be seen behind Rita And Zedd in Vile's screen, even though Tommy and Kat took it to the Command Center in Part 2.

I'm Dreaming Of A White Ranger

The Sound Of Dischordia

Ernie's Cafe, as Kat and Aisha are sitting down at the table : The shots of Rocky have him switching instantaneously between having his left arm lying on the table and having it folded towards his face.

Rangers In Reverse

Carnival, End : All the other kids ran away before the young rangers try to morph. However, when Zedd, Rita, Goldar and Rito had grown and were attacking, the kids had come back to the carnival, and the whole running/screaming en mass thing was done again.
